Filters

Pre Filter:

Every dryer should be equipped with a pre-filter to protect the desiccant from free water contamination, dust, scales, etc., from compressed air supply. This assures top efficiency and longer desiccant life.

Zero Oil Filter:

Oil from the compressor’s crankcase will be passed on to the line with the compressed air. This will severely affect the life of the desiccant. To prevent this, oil particles are removed in this filter (up to 1-micron rating).

After Filter:

This is provided after the dryer to remove the desiccant dust carried over to the equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions on Heatless Desiccant Compressed Air Dryers

Q: What is a Heatless Desiccant Compressed Air Dryer?
A Heatless Desiccant Compressed Air Dryer removes water vapor from compressed air using adsorption. It regenerates with purge air, ensuring dew points up to -40°C and ultra-low moisture levels.

Q: Where are Heatless Desiccant Dryers used?
They are widely used in pharmaceutical, food, textile, automotive, and electronics industries where moisture-free compressed air is critical.

Q: What are the benefits of a Heatless Desiccant Dryer?
They protect equipment from corrosion, improve product quality, reduce downtime, and offer reliable performance with low maintenance.

Q: What capacities are available?
Gem Equipments manufactures Heatless Desiccant Compressed Air Dryers from 10 CFM up to 3000 CFM, suitable for small workshops and large industrial plants.

Our process needs air far drier than a standard refrigerated dryer can deliver -- what is the option?

The Heatless Desiccant Dryer holds a stable dew point down to -40 degC standard, or -80 degC with molecular sieves, well below what refrigerated dryers achieve.

A desiccant dryer failed silently on us before and contaminated the line -- how would we know here?

This unit has PLC control with cycle-failure indication, so a malfunction is flagged rather than passing unnoticed.

Desiccant cartridges are expensive to keep replacing -- is there a cheaper long-term option?

It uses bulk desiccant media rather than proprietary cartridges, and an optimised adsorption cycle reduces purge-air consumption to cut running cost.
