How the Aluminium Compressed Air Dryer Works
The aluminium compressed air dryer cools compressed air to reduce its temperature and condense moisture present in the air stream. The separated condensate is removed through the integrated moisture separator and automatic drain system, helping deliver dry compressed air to downstream pneumatic equipment and production systems.
Aluminium Heat Exchanger
The all-aluminium heat exchanger is designed for efficient heat transfer in a compact construction. Its corrosion-resistant aluminium design supports reliable cooling performance while helping reduce the space required for installation in industrial compressed air systems.
Integrated Moisture Separation
During the cooling process, moisture in the compressed air condenses and is separated from the air stream. The integrated moisture separator helps remove this condensate before the treated compressed air enters downstream piping and equipment, reducing moisture-related problems in the compressed air system.
Automatic Condensate Drain
The automatic drain system removes accumulated condensate from the dryer during operation. This reduces the need for frequent manual draining and helps maintain consistent dryer operation.
Industrial Applications
The aluminium compressed air dryer is suitable for a range of industrial applications requiring reliable dry compressed air, including automobile, plastic, textile, steel and metal, paper and pulp, rubber, dairy and sugar industries.
Choosing the Right Aluminium Compressed Air Dryer Capacity
The required compressed air dryer capacity should generally match the compressed air demand of the compressor or production system. GEM's aluminium dryer range includes models from 20 CFM to 300 CFM.

Corrosion inside our current dryer heat exchanger is cutting efficiency -- what is different here?
The 2KD-G series uses an all-aluminium heat exchanger, which resists corrosion better than mixed-metal designs while staying compact.
We are getting condensate carryover downstream of our dryer -- does this unit filter that out?
Yes -- it has an integrated moisture separator and automatic drain system built in, removing condensate before it leaves the unit.
What capacity and pressure range does it cover?
It is available from 20-300 CFM, working pressure 7-16 bar, with a pressure dew point of 2-4 degC under rated conditions.
